KOOP Radio 91.7 FM
AUSTIN'S COMMUNITY RADIO SINCE 1994
KOOP IS BACK ON THE AIR!
We’re happy to share that KOOP 91.7 FM is back on the air and broadcasting again.
Our signal has been restored using a loaned transmitter following a temporary shutdown related to a technical issue that required coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration. We’re glad to be back serving listeners across the Austin airwaves.
We extend our sincere thanks to our engineering partners at UT–KVRX and the KUT engineers for their expertise and coordination in helping restore our FM signal.
Our main transmitter is still undergoing repairs and will return to service once that work is complete.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to support community radio.
