Hold onto your hats and get ready for some hilarious holiday hijinks as the KOOP Community Radio Players return to the airwaves for our 3rd Annual Holiday Radio Play, “I Wouldn’t Trade Christmas,” to be performed LIVE on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21st, 7:30pm to 8:30pm on KOOP 91.7 FM and streaming worldwide at koop.org. Bastian Guenther, of Autobahn notoriety, has graciously allowed us to take over his one-hour time slot to perform the play live for you dear listeners.
This new work by local playwright Kim Loe is a respectful parody of a real small town Texas radio program called Tradio (trading on the radio). The play is set on Christmas Eve and follows the hijinks of a decaying sound board run by a charming DJ trying to connect the townsfolk and their wares with their desired trades. The plot unfolds as over-sharing locals call in looking for specific items to fulfill their Christmas wishes; will anyone make a successful trade before the end of the show?
Tune in to KOOP 91.7 FM or koop.org on Sunday, December 21st at 7:30pm to find out and frolic in the festive fun!
