Some FEATURED ARTISTS on this week’s Stronger Than Dirt (Saturday, September 2, 8-10pm) include Soft Machine, Plastic Bertrand, The Quick, Protex, Lipstick Killers, Only Ones, Edith Nylon, Helen Love, Hollows, lots of new music as well as the weekly Dusty Diamond.

COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Minerves are an alt rock band from Perpignon, France. They formed in 2019 and just released their first album, a self-titled LP on Staubgold Records. It features cover art by Manue E. Pralas, a local Perpignan designer and artist. (Click on image to enlarge.)

DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a forgotten gem from the STD vaults): The Humpers, garage rock legends from Long Beach CA, make their second appearance as a Dusty Diamond. In fact, the featured song, “My Game,” was the B-side to Sarcasmatron,” the previous DD. Recorded live at midnight on March 20, 1994 in the KPFK studios in North Hollywood it showcases the energy and power of the band’s live performances. This is easily one my top ten singles of the 90s garage rock era. It appeared in 1994 on 1+2 Records. Listen to it here:
