I’ll be featuring two hours of regular Saturday Nite Party Sounds, including tunes by Big Boy Pete, Brett Smiley, Boys, Mo-Dettes, Skafish, Adam and the Ants, Wet Leg, more fave songs from 2022 as well as the weekly Dusty Diamond. Tune in to get your party humbug on!

COVER ART OF THE WEEK: By 1980, Adam Ant (Stuart Leslie Goddard) had formed the second incarnation of Adam and the Ants, the band that would provide him with his breakthrough. Besides moving in a more new wave-ish direction, the band adopted a flamboyant look associated with the New Romantics of the late 70s and early 80s. The “Kings of the New Frontier” album, released in late 1980 on CBS/Epic Records, featured a Peter Ashworh photo of Ant modeling classic New Romantics fashion and makeup. The cover was conceived by Ant and Julian Balme (who had done design work with Stiff Records) and designed by the latter. Click on image to enlarge.
