Nonprofit education organization PelotonU dismantles the traditional model of higher education in the United States, which is still and too often conceived of as a path for success for young people getting out of high school. PelotonU Admissions Manager Janet Rodriguez explains how PelotonU increases equity in educational environments by providing support systems for nontraditional students from diverse backgrounds. Rodriguez recognizes that today’s college students have busy lives with work and/or family responsibilities. Students need college options designed to meet them where they are, so PelotonU reimagines the path to a college degree, making college affordable, flexible, and supportive for students balancing work, life, and school.
