Julie
Julie Rysenga is a lifelong music lover. She has traveled to many international locations throughout her life and truly appreciates the many sounds from around the world. When in India, she fell in love with the eclectic music offered there. Upon moving back to Austin in 2018, after having lived here previously for over 20 years, she was excited that KOOP still had some of her favorite programs. She noticed though that music from India was missing from the FM airwaves and felt the Austin community was missing out on some great artists. With that in mind, she got involved in KOOP in 2019 and created Passport to India. She also hosts Austin Artists where she loves talking to local artists and arts organizations.

Ever since I decided that music is what I wanted to do, it has been about my gut instincts, finding my own way of being me, helping others and surrounding myself with like minded people.
