KOOP Radio is presenting an official SXSW showcase in collaboration with fellow community station KLKT. We’re curating the Radio Day Stage in the Downright Austin hotel backyard (this year’s SX “music hub”) on Wednesday, March 18th with music from noon to 6. It’s FREE and open to the public (no credentials needed) with an all Texan lineup as diverse as the stations it represents.
FEATURING:
Thunderosa (Hard driving, greazy, kick-you-in-the teeth Texas Stomp)
The Point (Fusing psychedelia, Saharan guitar music, and cumbia with jam-band sensibilities)
Jillian Hudson (country singer-songwriter)
Cure For Paranoia (powerhouse alternative hip-hop collective)
Lew Apollo (genre-bending soul music)
Gus Baldwin & The Sketch (singer/songwriter/ex-hippie/ part-time punk)
