Some FEATURED ARTISTS on this week’s Stronger Than Dirt (Saturday, April 4, 8-10pm) include the Moving Sidewalks, Alice Cooper, Suzi Quatro, Saints, Badge, Chrome, Josef K, Bikini Mutants, Cécilia et ses Ennuis, lots of new music as well as the weekly Dusty Diamond.

COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Yard Work are a post-punk band from Austin that have been around since 2015. Original lead vocalist (and long-time local punk rocker) Sean McGowan left for California in the late teens and was replaced with present singer Candi Fox. They have released two full-length albums and just this year the limited edition self-released “Not That Tree” 4-song. The jackets are hand-printed in an edition of 100 and feature the artwork of their guitarist David Luján. (Click on image to enlarge)

DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a vintage gem from the STD vaults): The A-Lines were a short-lived British garage punk band that included Debbie Green (AKA Bongo Debbie) and Kyra De Coninck (AKA Kyra Rubella) from Thee Headcoatees. They released a single in 2003 and a single and album the following year. “Nothing Personal” is a pounding post-punkish mid-tempo number featuring Kyra’s snarling vocals in English as well as her native Flemish. Produced by Billy Childish it appeared in 2004 on the “You Can Touch” album on Sympathy for the Record Industry. Listen to it here:
