COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Neon Kittens, post-punk no wavers from York UK, are back with their third album. Due to a misunderstanding with a record label, it is a self-released digital only release. It does however come with very cool cover artwork, done, as with all of their previous releases, by bassist and guitarist Andy Goz.
DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a vintage gem from the STD vaults): The Rondelles were a garage-y indie rock and pop trio from Albuquerque. Formed in mid 90s when they were still in high school, they released two albums and some singles between 1996 and 2000 along with some later collections of odds and ends. “Fake Fight” is a fun three chord indie rocker with stop/start rhythms and nice vocal harmonies. It appeared in 1998 on their first album, “Fiction Romance, Fast Machines” on Smells Like Records. You can listen to it here:
