COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Gentilesky are a garage-y post-punk band made up of musicians from Turkey and Sardinia. Based in Cagliari, Italy, they have been active since the mid 10s and have released two albums. Their second, “Dream,” was released in April of this year on Slovenly Records and features a cover design by Gabriele Serrau and artwork by their vocalist Yaprak Kirdök.

DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a vintage gem from the STD vaults): The Winks were an all-female punk from Austin that included Penny Prunty (Dirty Sweets, Tokyo Nites) and Alyse Mervosh (Hex Dispensers, Eeerie Family). Active in the mid 00’s, they released one album and an EP. “Spoil Me” is a full on punk rager with in your face, kinda nasty vocals. It appeared in 2003 on the EP on Super Secret Records as well as the 2005 “Too Hot to Be This Cool” album on Rockin’ Bones and Super Secret. Listen to it here:
