COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Choncy is a punk band from Cincinnati OH that has been around since the early 20s. They have released three albums, all on the Cincinnati label Feel It. The third, “Trademark,” was released in April of this year, and features artwork by their drummer Joe Carpenter. (Click on image to enlarge)

DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a vintage gem from the STD vaults): Loli and the Chones were a garage punk trio from the Los Angeles Boyle Heights neighborhood. Active from the mid to late 90s they released two albums and two singles. “The Kids from Boyle Heights” and “I Hate Your Guts” are two middle-finger-in-your-face-FU bursts of noisy punk energy and attitude. They appeared on the 1997 “P.S. We Hate You” album on Rip Off Records. Listen to them here:
