The Singer and the Song welcomes Christine Albert. Christine is a Texas music treasure, a brilliant singer songwriter who has also been deeply involved in music in so many other ways, also, like being on the board of MusiCares, Chair Emiritus of the Recording Academy (the Grammys), and founder and CEO of Swan Songs, a beautiful non-profit venture that brings musicians to people in their final days. Her late husband Chris Gage was not only her partner in life but also her musical partner for many years, and she will soon be taking the reins of his great Monday night residency at Donn’s Depot on the Chris Gage stage. We will have much to talk about, and she’ll also of course perform live for us during the whole hour on KOOP 91.7 FM and koop.org, 3-4pm, Saturday, April 25th.
