Some FEATURED ARTISTS on this week’s Stronger Than Dirt (Saturday,
August 31, 8-10pm) include Bonnie St. Claire, Del Shannon, Lemming, Cole
Younger, Polyrock, Fastbacks, Judy’s, Muffs, Opération S, lots of new music as
well as the weekly Dusty Diamond.

COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Simple Circuit were an Austin based band with a
garage-y post punk-y sound. They were active in the early 10’s and released one
album and two singles. Their 2013 self-released self-titled album featured cover

DUSTY DIAMOND OF THE WEEK (a vintage gem from the STD vaults): Scared
of Chaka are a punk rock band from Albuquerque that were active from the mid
90s into the early 00s, releasing several albums and singles. They regrouped this
year and just recently released a single on Slovenly Records. “L.A. Buquerque” is
a high energy burst of edgy and mosh-able melodic punk with power chords and
nice vocal harmonies. It appeared in 1995 on the “Hutch Brown Sayngwich”
album on the Seven-O-Two label. Listen to it here:
