Austin-based, Grammy award-winning bassist Daniel Foose will be performing alongside his stellar trio this week. Known for a visceral approach, Daniel has had the honor of playing with some of pop music’s biggest names. Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Robby Krieger of the Doors, etc. The list is staggering, but not as staggering as his incredible talent. The event is BYOB, with seats selling out fast. Don’t miss out!
Friday, 5.19.23 at 10 pm: Sue Foley, Continental Club, $15, Blues
Rounding out the roundup this week with another stellar local musician, Miss Sue Foley. Discovered by Clifford Antone, she became a staple of the Austin blues scene after moving here from Canada in the 90s. Getting ready to go back on tour in the Great White North, she’ll be cutting a LIVE album over the course of two days at the historic Continental Club. Sue’s deeply rooted traditional blues guitar stylings are one of a kind, and can’t be missed. You may have seen her play with Jimmie Vaughan or Billy Gibbons during the Jungle Show, but nothing compares to seeing her shine on her own.
