Tuesday, 1.17.23: Je’Texas – 6:00 P.M., Antone’s Record Shop, Free, Psych/Western

The premiere psychedelic cowboy trio around town is hosting a pre-launch party of their first record this week at Antone’s record shop. This in-store pop-up will feature live music by the band and refreshments courtesy of St. Arnold’s Brewing and Rambler. More info.

Wednesday, 1.18.23: JaRon Marshall + the Collective – 8:00 P.M., The Pershing, $18.75, Soul/R&B

Former keyboardist for the Black Pumas JaRon Marshall started playing at the age of 11, and at the age of 28 has risen to produce incredible music and perform at festivals world wide. He brings that immense talent, along with his own stellar backing band the Collective to Austin, touring on his brand new EP The Prequel, a lead up to what is sure to be a great first album. Friday, 1.20.23: Plum Creek Records Pop-Up – 9:00 P.M., Long Play North, Free, Shopping

KOOP DJs Max Yancy and Grace Reyer (from Channel Surfing and The Clear Spot respectively) are striking out on their own with their very own record shop! Starting out with pop-ups around town, this one will feature live music from Guma (fronted by another KOOPer, TJ Masters of Small Cool World) and Liz Burrito, as well as a DJ set from Clear Spot co-host Bryan Carroll. Come support, browse vinyl, and listen to great tunes all night long. More info.

Saturday, 1.21.23: Jackie Venson w/ The Tiarras – 8:00 P.M., Antone’s Nightclub, $20, Blues

Described by the Statesman as a “a Gary Clark Jr.-level talent”, Jackie Venson has been no stranger to bringing her all to the Antone’s stage. Featured in a month-long residency, this night will see her joined by local Latin power trio The Tiarras. If you’ve somehow missed all the others, make this one an absolute priority. More info.
