Some FEATURED ARTISTS on this week’s Stronger Than Dirt (Saturday, July 9, 8-10pm) include the Easybeats, Michel Polnareff, the Move, Ultravox, Subway Sect, Vapors, Edith Nylon, Suburban Lawns, Jesus and Mary Chain, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, lots of new music, as well as the weekly Dusty Diamond.

COVER ART OF THE WEEK: Until 1979 Ultravox was fronted by John Foxx and had a punkier sound. Their first single, “Young Savage,” was released in 1977 on Island Records, and featured cover art by Foxx under his real name Dennis Leigh. Their band name included an exclamation mark which they dropped the next year. Click image to enlarge.
