We live in a great country that affords us the latitude to pursue understandings of our choice. But our choices are increasingly not our own. Are we so thoroughly indoctrinated, mostly outside of our conscious awareness, to adopt a world perspective that rationalizes the oppression we may one day be steamrolled by?
One does not have to agree that Russia’s choice to launch its ‘special operation’ into the Ukraine was justified to see the truth that the USA and NATO provoked the invasion. William Scott Ritter a former US Marine Corps intelligence officer joins BLID tonight. He served with the UN implementing arms control treaties, with General Norman Schwarzkopf in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm, and in Iraq, overseeing the disarmament of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), as a United Nations weapons inspector, from 1991 to 1998. He famously warned Congress and any one who paid attention that there were no WMD. This life experience led him to later became a critic of United States foreign policy and challenge many of the its public claims including those in Ukraine
