Area Agency on Aging + Free Estate Planning Workshop for Seniors and Caregivers on May 18, 2021
Alice Navarro, the Lead Benefits Counselor with the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), a division of the Capital Area Council on Governments (CapCOG), works to help make sure people have expert advice while navigating expansive and complex government programs like Medicare and the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP). She and her staff work with people of all ages to ensure good health and financial stability for the central Texas community. For Navarro, knowledge in these sectors is an issue of economic justice. Scare for a Cure Fundraises for the Breast Cancer Resource Center and is Looking for Volunteers
Haunted house, Halloween, and live performance lovers, get excited! Scare for a Cure is a unique theatrical haunted house event that celebrates community and fun and benefits local nonprofit organizations like the Breast Cancer Resource Center, local food banks, and Manor Independent School District. Jarrett Crippen, Director and Lead Designer at Scare for a Cure, explains the gore cannon and most importantly, the incredible group of volunteers that makes this creative experience possible.
