Gus Bova on the border wall, Greg Casar on the city budget – Tues, 8/25 @6 PM

This week on Civil Rights and Wrongs we’ll be discussing the border wall with Gus Bova, staff writer for the Texas Observer. Earlier this year Gus traveled to Laredo to investigate recent developments, as he recounts in his report “Back to the Wall”. Laredo is unique in its significance for Texas, and novel in its opposition to the construction of the wall. We also have our regular guest Jim Harrington, founder of the Texas Civil Rights Project. KOOP’s Michelle Manning-Scott joins us, too. And we will hear from Greg Casar, member of Austin City Council from District 4. Greg addresses the backlash to planned reductions for APD’s portion of the city budget.
