Theme Music

Theme Music is a free-form program that explores a different theme each week, bringing together a wide variety of artists, genres, geographies, and eras under one narrative umbrella. Back announcements and occasional spoken word segments tie songs to the show theme and provide interesting and informative commentaries. Past themes include: Inspirational Women (International Women’s Day), Motown Rarities Sung by Women (Black History Month), Song Covers in Foreign Languages, and Songs Invoking Literary Works. By exploring music through themes, the show explores the commonality of the human experience and between different genres and styles.
