Get Health Insurance: The federal health insurance Marketplace has reopened for enrollment through May 15, 2021. Many people qualify for federal financial assistance for reduced or no-cost monthly premiums. If you or someone you know anywhere in Texas doesn’t have health insurance, call Foundation Communities’ Prosper Health Coverage program at 512-381-4520 to get help with the application.
Get Vaccinated: The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program will supply the following Texas pharmacies with COVID-19 vaccines in the coming months: CVS, HEB, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, and Walmart. Clients with one of those pharmacies can register for vaccination at pharmacy websites and wait for announcement of the appropriate phase number for appointments.
Food Stamps Reimbursement: Families with SNAP benefits who lost food during the February snowstorm can request reimbursement through Texas HHS before the end of March by dialing 2-1-1 and choosing option 5.
