The City of Austin is distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like facemasks, hand sanitizer, and educational materials at no cost to city residents twice more this week: • Fri., Sept. 18 from 9–11am at the Ruiz Branch of Austin Public Library (1600 Grove Blvd., Austin, TX 78741); • Sat., Sept. 19 from 9–11am George Morales Dove Springs Recreation Center (5801 Ainez Dr., Austin, TX 78744).

The Central Texas Food Bank is hosting two community-wide food distribution events this week. You can get free groceries for your household there until supplies run out. Try to arrive early, because they don’t have guaranteed groceries if food runs out before 11am. • Thurs., Sept. 24 from 8–11am at Toney Burger Stadium (3200 Jones Rd, Austin, TX 78745; Please enter at the north side of the facility, from the eastbound Hwy 290 frontage road.) • Sat. Sept. 26 from 8–11am at Del Valle High School (5201 Ross Rd, Del Valle, TX 78617). Call the CTFB distribution programs hotline for schedule updates: (512) 684-2559.

US Residents have until the end of September to fill out census forms, which will help the federal government allocate local funding for the next DECADE! If you haven’t filled out your census forms yet, you can get help at atxcensus2020.com or by calling 512-854-6185. If you’ve already filled out your census, reach out to your neighbors and see if they need help, too!
