Austin Public Health (APH) has rolled out a free walk-up testing site at Del Valle Middle School through Aug. 16 from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. every day. The Del Valle testing site will test people on a first come, first served basis. Austin city residents may contribute their perspectives on the City’s budget adoption process by registering to speak at the Fiscal Year 2021 Budget and Tax Rate Adoption Meeting on August 12. All speakers who have registered to speak either remotely or in-person at the Palmer Events Center are called on that date. The Austin Music Disaster Relief Fund opened Monday, August 10, at 10am and will remain open until funding has expired through awarded grants to musicians. If you’re a musician in Austin and have not applied for the Music Disaster Relief fund, reach out to the KOOP COVID-19 Community Outreach Team by leaving a message at 512-710-5353 or covid19@koop.org, and we’ll send you instructions for applying.
