Gentrification in Austin & the People's Plan (Part 1)

Gentrification in Austin & the People's Plan (Part 1)

Friday 5/18, 1:00pm

People United presents the first in its two-part coverage of a panel on solutions to the gentrification crisis in Austin.  Moderated by Austin American-Statesman columnist Alberta Phillips, the panel also features community activists Carmen Llanes Pulido, Susana Almanza, Fred McGhee, Jane Rivera, and Nelson Linder as well as developer Ed Wendler.  The panelists, all critics of CodeNEXT, instead propose a six-point People's Plan to stop the displacement of residents in the city, conserve the environment, and make low-income housing available.
